Kristiyan Doychev wins the rematch with Jean Paul Jacquet at SENSHI 9

Bulgaria’s Kristiyan Doychev has once again defeated France’s Jean-Paul Jacquet under the SENSHI banner. The pair met again on the SENSHI 9 undercard with the SENSHI European title in the -85 kg category being on the line.

Both Doychev and Jacquet had two fights in the previous two days in order to get to the final in Kamchia, Bulgaria.

Doychev was the first to land a significant shot – right hand followed by a right hook. Jacquet was the one having the height and reach advantage, but the Bulgarian fighter was landing at will pretty much all the time. The Frenchman was trying to push back Doychev with low kicks.

As time went by, Jacquet started fighting on his back foot with Doychev doing most of the attacks. He was mixing kicks with strong boxing combos that had Jacquet looking for the clinch.

Doychev knocked down his adversary in the final round after a three-hooks combo, but Jacqueto managed to beat the count. The Bulgarian went all in and tried to end his opponent, but Jean-Paul showed heart and resistance and lost via UD.
