National Cup “Plovdiv” for children up to 8 and up to 10 years was held with great interest

The Kyokushin Karate Competition occurred on 9 November with 174 participants from 23 sports clubs

On 9 November, at the Sports Hall of Plovdiv University “P. Hilendarski” in Plovdiv, was held The National Cup “Plovdiv” for children up to 8 and up to 10 years, organized by the Bulgarian Karate Kyokushin Federation (BKKF). The competition for children in karate kyokushin – kumite was attended by 174 registered competitors from 23 sports clubs members of the BKKF.

The Minister of Education, Galin Tsokov, respected the sporting event in Plovdiv and addressed the young karatekas. He congratulated them for their dedication to the sport and wished them much success.

At the end of the competition day, in the team ranking by the number of medals won, the first place was taken by SC “Sentoki” – Burgas with a total of 10 medals, including 4 gold.

Special awards for excellent performance at the Kyokushin tournament were won by four competitors. The prize for “The most technical competitor” in the boys’ category went to Vasil Chalakov from SC “Okami dojo” – Asenovgrad, and in the girls’ category – to Ralitsa Vladova from SC “Yunak” – Ruse. The award for “High fighting spirit” in boys was given to Mikail Mutishev from SC “Katana” – Veliko Tarnovo, and for girls, the award went to Borislava Latinova from SC “Dulo” – Pernik.
