Instant classic: Remy Bonjasky – Semmy Schilt 2003 (video)

The 2003 K-1 WGP in Fukuoka, Japan, gathers around some of the best kickboxers under one ceiling.

The tournament consists of 7 K-1 rules super fights and the event serves as a general repetition for the fighters before the big tournament that takes place t the end of the year in Tokyo.

Francisco Filho, Mike Bernardo, Ernesto Hoost, Cyril Abidi, Semmy Schilt, Remy Bonjasky, Alexey Ignashov, Jan Nortje, Michael McDonald, Gordan Jukic, Pele Reid, Aziz Khattou, Ray Sefo and Tatsufumi Tomihira are the fourteen fighters that are set to participate in the fight night.

The fifth fight of the night is between Semmy Schilt and Remy Bonjasky. Fans are super hyped because it is the first time those two are meeting inside the ropes, even though their biggest accomplishments are yet to come.
