Today (7.06.2017), under the leadership of the Minister of Sports

of the Sverdlovsk Region, Rapoport L.A.,in Yekaterinburg was held a meeting of the KWU work team for the preparation of

the 3rd KWU Kyokushin World Championship 2017

There were discussed the issues of preparation of regulatory documents for the subsequent meeting of the World Championship’s Organizing Committee. KWUCHAMP: city and date for the 3rd World Championship were chosen

The organizing committee of KWU chose the city and the date for the 3rd World Championship!

 

As you probably know, out of 7 possible cities for holding of the 3rd KWU Kyokushin World Championship 2017, Kaliningrad and Yekaterinburg came to the finals. The work team of the World Championship Organizing Committee, whose members visited both of the cities, properly examined them. KWUCHAMP 2017 Breaking news!

Breaking news!

The Executive Committee of the 3rd KWU Kyokushin World Championship has taken the decision to transfer the location of tournament from Japan to Russia. Several cities, including Sochi, are being considered for approval. The location will be assigned in the nearest future.

На согласовании рассматриваются несколько городов, включая Сочи. Место проведения будет назначено в ближайшее время.

Seven times down, eight times up! Japanese good luck charms!

When passing through a Japanese run shop, business or restaurant you might have caught a glimpse of a small and oddly egg shaped doll. Mostly red in color and painted with a stern but vivid face on it and quite often depicted with one eye only willfully glaring at you.

They are called Daruma dolls and are not to be feared! These traditional talisman are not there to entice respect of the bespoke establishment or cast away evil spirits but have their roots in ancient Buddhism and are often seen as a symbol of good luck, encouragement and perseverance towards a set goal. This makes them perfect souvenirs and presents for all kinds of occasions that require your tenacity or as the Japanese would say “ganbatte” spirit! KWU at WKO European championship Denmark 2017

WKO Shinkyokushinkai European championship

was held on April 8-9th, 2017 in Roskilde, Denmark.

Kyokushin World Union – KWU General Secretary Mr. Sergey Suvorov was there as an official guest of organizers from Kyokushin Denmark and WKO.
