The 2nd Austrian K.O. Cup (IFK) – Results

On November 8, 2025, the city of Tulln, near Vienna, Austria, hosted the 2nd Austrian K.O. Cup — an international Kyokushin karate tournament that gathered more than 300 fighters from 19 European countries, including Austria, Switzerland, Hungary, Greece, Germany, Poland, Ukraine, Czech Republic, Spain, Bulgaria, Belgium, Italy, Sweden, Slovenia, Armenia, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom.

The event was organized by K.O. Dojo, led by Emanuel and Julia Lebo — both former competitors and now experienced instructors who applied their deep understanding of Kyokushin to deliver a seamless and professional tournament. Every aspect, from the venue setup to the beautifully crafted medals, trophies, and special awards, reflected their commitment to quality and excellence.

The importance of the event was underscored by the attendance of IFK President Shihan David Pickthall, IFK Chief Referee Shihan Alex Kerrigan, and IFK Austria Country Representative Shihan Zeljko Micakovic, whose presence highlighted the growing international stature of the Austrian K.O. Cup within the IFK network.

A special highlight of the day was the participation of UFC star Aleksandar “Rocket” Rakić, who joined the event with his son and took part in presenting awards to the youngest athletes — a moment that inspired both the children and the crowd.

Thanks to the organizers’ dedication and precision, the competition unfolded smoothly and on time, earning praise from participants and officials alike. The 2nd Austrian K.O. Cup was a resounding success — a true celebration of sportsmanship, discipline, and the Kyokushin spirit that unites dojos across Europe.

With its strong foundation and the ongoing support of IFK leadership, the Austrian K.O. Cup is set to continue its growth and secure its place as one of the key international tournaments on the European Kyokushin calendar.
