BKKF Achieves an Impressive Record — 124 Medals at the 2nd Eastern European Open Championship of IFK Bulgaria

On November 29, 2025, the Gorna Malina Arena hosted the 2nd Eastern European Open Championship organized by IFK Bulgaria. The tournament brought together competitors from multiple countries and styles, who tested their skills in the disciplines kumite, kata, and the innovative Lowkick–Shita Ski.

The event was open to all age groups — children, juniors, men, women, and veterans — making it one of the most diverse and dynamic martial arts forums in the region.

The Bulgarian Karate Kyokushin Federation (BKKF) achieved outstanding success, winning a total of 124 medals:

  • 45 gold
  • 41 silver
  • 38 bronze

This remarkable result establishes BKKF as one of the strongest and best-prepared federations at the championship and highlights the high level of performance of Bulgarian athletes on the international stage.
