Message from IFK Canada President

Dear respected IFK Canada members,

As we begin the New Year, I want to thank everyone for the commitment and contributions in IFK Canada Kyokushin Organization. Though we have not been around long, the excitement and enthusiasm can be felt!

We recently democratically elected the IFK Canada Kyokushin board members and we outlined a plan that we will start implementing this year. I have an immense respect and admiration for all our board members who dedicated their own time and resources to make founding IFK Canada a reality.

The board of directors, begun organizing our summer camp, started preparing for the tournaments, and this is only the beginning! Many new and exciting events are ahead of us! Now is the crucial time, as we lay the foundation of our organization, to work together in unity, to form the bedrock of what will become a strong organization in the Kyokushin community of Canada.

I am sure there are many in the Kyokushin community that are watching us, and with this visibility comes responsibility, as IFK Canada should be a standard for excellence, friendship and respect, for Kyokushin Karate in Canada. This is how we will grow, and set an example of what an organization can be.

I want to personally thank all of you, especially the students, as we could not make this happen without you all, and each other’s assistance and support.

We must remind ourselves that this isn’t the time to become complacent. The success of today only gives us more motivation for the challenges of tomorrow.

With this firmly in mind, we look toward to the next years with a renewed sense of purpose.

Wishing all of you all the best, and counting on your continuous support.

Sensei Steve Fogarasi
President, IFK Canada Kyokushin Organization
