Kyokushin-kan South Africa with Special Karate Class training

Report by Teresa Brooks

Special Karate Class training of 3 and a half hours, 72 karateka’s participating what an amazing turn out on the day, I was not too sure what to expect. I have been privileged to be part of Kyokushin Karate & karate has taught me to to be more self-disciplined, it enhances a healthy & physical lifestyle & I feel extremely confident about myself…

We were given this opportunity yesterday to yet again work on our areas of concern, to improve on and to prepare us for our grading 30 November. I started training in June 2015 felt extremely shy at the beginning, as I reflect back & see what I have achieved with clear and concise guidance from Shihan Hennie Bosman and the rest of our instructors, I can testify how immensely proud I am of myself and how much I enjoy stepping into the Dojo at Welgemoed and train with my fellow karateka.

My next grading means a lot to me, I’m equally nervous & confident that my preparation will carry me through on the day.
