KWU World Cup Open category 2023

Organizers: KWU and BKKF

Date and venue: 2023 July 5th, Kamchia, 34 km south of Varna city

Conditions of admission: Representatives of national federations who have passed selection at the national championships with an invitation to all willing Kyokushin groups in the country, over 18 years of age with a style qualification of at least 4 kyu, up to 6 people from the country are allowed to participate.

Requests to participate:

DEADLINE: June 9th, 2023 

ATTENTION!!! Along with the application for participation /Attachment 1/, you must also send the following documents:

1) Pictures with Dogi (portrait photo in electronic jpeg format, high resolution)
2) Application No. 2 – filled in by each competitor.

Applications are accepted only on the established form (Application No. 1). The application must be signed by the presidents of the national federations of the country whose fighters are represented in the application. Requests are accepted at e-mail: kwu_bulgaria@abv.bg

Financial conditions:

The organizers will provide:

To all competitors in the KWU WORLD CUP OPEN CATEGORY and KWU WORLD CUP VARNA – one coach per country, KWU national country representative* – accommodation, food, and transfers from and to the airport Varna (02/07/2023 Varna airport – Kamchia, 09/07/2023 Kamchia – Varna airport).

 *If competitors from a given country participate in both competitions, the Organizers bear the costs of transfers, accommodation, and food for one KWU national representative and 2 coaches (one per competition).

For XVII KWU International Summer Camp participants**only transfers from and to Varna airport (02/07/2023 Varna airport – Kamchia, 09/07/2023 Kamchia – Varna airport). Participants in the XVII KWU International Summer Camp are required to contact a representative to make their reservation and pay in advance for their stay.

**For information regarding the cost of staying at camp for participants, please get in touch with us at kwu_bulgaria@abv.bg. We can provide you with more details about accommodation and payment options.

General rules: Competitions are held according to KWU rules, which are posted on the official website – www.kwunion.com

Judges: The national representatives who will participate in the XVII KWU International summer camp will be included in the judging brigades of the competitions.

Awarding winners and prize-winners

The winners and prize-winners of the competition (1st-4th  place) in the open category are awarded a medal, a cup, a certificate, and a cash prize, as follows:

Men 
1st place 10 000€ 
2nd place 7 000€
3rd place 4 000€ 
4th place 2 500€ 

Women
1st place 7 000€
2nd place 4 000€
3rd place 3 000€
4th place 2 000€

Anti-doping control: Prize winners from  1st  to 4th  place may be subjected to a doping test in accordance with the rules of the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA).

Team composition: 

The composition of the fighters and the strength of the team:
– KWU national representative;
– the official coach of the team;
– fighter/s – 6 people from the country.

The quota for WKO Shinkyokushinkai
For participation of athletes from WKO Shinkyokushinkai, please contact your Branch Chief and inform the WKO head office about your request to participate in the KWU World Cup Open Category 2023.
