Weight category under 70 kg (11 participants)

The winners of previous two World Championships in this weight category are:

  1. Williams Samantha (Great Britain);
  2. Kriazheva Irina (Russia).

This is perhaps the most interesting women weight category.

But the main battle is expected between the Russian athlete Svetlana Tuchkova, Poland’s Agata Winiarska and Julie Lamarre from Canada.

Julia Lamar, the strongest karateka of Canada, until recently participated in the main tournaments of IKO Matsui and won many titles. In 2013, at the American Championships, Julia Lamar won the most titled karateka in the world – Anastasia Khripunova.

The analysis of the favorites is based on the comparison of athletes’ achievements in the period from 2015 to the present day.

Tatami is the place for a feat. Whoever will be ready for the feat on the day of the tournament will win a medal.
