Shihan Loek Hollander (1940-2020)

It is with deep sadness and sorrow, we inform you of the passing away of one of the leaders of the world Kyokushin, a man dedicated to the development and promotion of our sport. Loek Hollander died on February 16, at the age of 81.

Starting to practice Kyokushin in 1962, Loek Hollander went to Japan, where he trained under the guidance of Sosai Oyama. After long hard training in 1967, he became the fourth karateka ever to complete the Hyakunin-kumite test. Continue reading “Shihan Loek Hollander (1940-2020)”

KWF Norway Summer camp 2018

We have the pleasure to invite you to KWF Norway Summer camp

from Wednesday 27 June to Sunday 1st July. We will have a great time and enjoy karate training in lovely surroundings and with top class instructors.

Shihan Loek Hollander, 10 Dan, is the Honorary President of KWF and is a legend within Kyokushin karate. He trained directly under Sosai Oyama, and was considered Sosai’s “son”.
