In the last days before the championship we will introduce you favorites of the 3rd KWUCHAMP

The forecast based on the current statistics of athletes is nothing more than a forecast. At the World Championship 2015, the most “calculated” forecasts did not concur even by 50%.

Men -60 kg

Weight category under 60 kg (20 participants)

The winners of previous two World Championships in this weight category are:

  1. Starodubtsev Dmitry (Russia);
  2. Arushanyan Artur (Armenia).

Participation of the acting world champion of this category Artur Arushunyan and Farid Kasumov, who became the world champion in 2013, make the final almost a foregone conclusion.

Artur Arushunyan

Farid already had time to experience the new weight category and did it successfully.

Nikolov Dilyan (in right)

A young Bulgarian athlete Nikolov Dilyan, a Japanese Sawai Toranosuke Kagechika from the recently established IKO Nakamura organization and a Lithuanian competitor Auga Romualdas can also join the fight for medals.

Sawai Toranosuke Kagechika

All other fighters in the category will require a great deal of luck for getting into the medal set-up.

The analysis of the favorites is based on the comparison of athletes’ achievements in the period from 2015 to the present day.

However, the forecast based on the current statistics of athletes is nothing more than a forecast. At the World Championship 2015, the most “calculated” forecasts did not concur even by 50%.

Tatami is the place for a feat. Whoever will be ready for the feat on the day of the tournament will win a medal.
