Atanas Bozhilov for SENSHI 26 – We will be like gladiators at the Ancient Theatre in Plovdiv

On May 17, the Ancient Theatre in Plovdiv, Bulgaria, will be the arena of one of the most anticipated events in combat sports in Bulgaria – SENSHI 26 Gladiators.

“Preparations are going perfectly. Everything is according to plan, no injuries. I did a two-week camp in Holland. I’m back, I’m healthy and ready for the fight. I hope everything will go well,” said the proven SENSHI champion Atanas Bozhilov in an interview for the show “Bulgaria in the morning”.

According to him, the role of the coach in the preparatory process before the professional match is very important, with whom together they draw up a game plan, and are ready to work on a second and third version, depending on the match in the ring.

“It’s going to be pretty interesting in a new place. The amphitheater in Plovdiv is a pretty beautiful place, we’ll be like real gladiators. I’m thinking of making it difficult for the opponent with a high pace, to impose my way of playing and finish the match early. He’s experienced, he’s had matches on big circuits. His advantage is that he is much taller than me,” Bozhilov added for Bulgaria ON AIR viewers.

With 21 wins from 23 appearances so far on the SENSHI circuit, the fighter is feeling his way and hopes to please the crowd.

“The thrill doesn’t go away. The tension is getting higher because I need to consolidate what I have achieved. After every match, when I win, they rush to ask me for tips. I am very happy when I see little kids who want to be like me and play sports,” said Atanas Bojilov.

The whole conversation with Atanas Bozhilov can be seen in the video published on the website of Bulgaria ON AIR TV.
