Pro fighters tested their strength on the PowerKube in SENSHI GYM

Within the framework of the International Training Camp of the KWU SENSHI & Bulgarian Karate Kyokushin Federation, which took place from 5 to 8 September 2024 in Varna, Bulgaria, hundreds of fighters and coaches gathered in the seaside city for unforgettable training and invaluable exchange of knowledge, driven by the desire to upgrade their skills and contact with great masters of martial arts.

During the camp, prominent Bulgarian Karate Kyokushin Federation (BKKF)’s athletes and participants had the opportunity to use the innovative PowerKube device located on the territory of the SENSHI GYM sports center in Varna, Bulgaria. Many BKKF Nationals could not resist the temptation to see how great their strength was and tested their skills on the device.

The PowerKube, the gym’s latest acquisition, played a crucial role in the fighters’ training, designed to measure and analyze the striking power of every fighter with scientific precision. This sophisticated high-tech device, equipped with advanced sensors and custom-built analytical software, provided immediate feedback and quality information on athlete performance, with detailed data for each kick.

Among the first martial athletes who also tried the device’s capabilities were the SENSHI referees and instructors – Sensei Zahari Damyanov and Sensei Petаr Martinov. In the final stage of their intensive training, just a day before their appearances in the ring at SENSHI 23, some professional fighters also took part in the tests.

On September 8, Atanas Bozhilov personally came to SENSHI GYM in Varna to test the power of his famous left hand, with which he managed to knock down Jaiteh Ndow Bubu in one of the knockdowns on the beach arena.

The fighters of the SENSHI professional circuit – Dragomir Petrov, Mihail Velchovski, the national Kyokushin champion Nikolay Yorgov, as well as Mario Kirilov – the cutman of the international gala and coach at ARMEEC GYM – Sofia also did strength tests on the device.

The state-of-the-industry PowerKube can be calibrated by workout type, impact type, trainee level, and many more input parameters to provide valuable insight into the level, quality, and progress of workouts previously unavailable outside the high-end sports science laboratories. The technology sports instrument allows measurement of the power of each kick, adjusting for individual performance based on the height and weight of the fighter, making the PowerKube a game-changer in martial arts training. With its help, training will be much more detailed and useful for professionals preparing for new victories and all combat sports competitors in Varna, Bulgaria.
