Bulgarian Kyokushin National team going to Japan

The participation of the Bulgarian Kyokushin National team in the 5th Kyokushin Union World Cup is highly anticipated, as they have shown great potential in past tournaments.

In 2023, the 5th Kyokushin Union Cup World Karate Championship will be held at the Yokohama Budokan Arena on 8-9 of April.

More than 200 elite athletes from about 50 countries will gather for this tournament, which was enacted by Sosai Masutatsu Oyama, the founder of Kyokushin.

It is a competition of mind, technique, and body in kumite based on the direct hitting system (full contact) rule, with the Kyokushin philosophy: “Aiming to achieve world peace by eliminating barriers between politics, religion, and thought, transcending race, ethnicity, and national borders.”
