The international fight gala SENSHI 29 will take place on December 6 at 7:00 PM EET /12:00 PM EST/ at the Palace of Culture and Sports in Varna, Bulgaria. In the final event of the year, 22 fighters from 15 countries will step into the arena for 11 spectacular bouts under the rules of KWU Full Contact and KWU SENSHI.
One of the most anticipated clashes on the fight card will pit local favorite Eduard Aleksanyan against Karim Mabrouk from Austria in the KWU Full Contact -90 kg division. Known by his nickname Mr. Action, Aleksanyan returns to the ring in his hometown to deliver a show filled with explosive energy and an aggressive style. He is a two-time SENSHI European Champion (2023, 2024), WAKO PRO K1 European Champion (2021), and a multiple-time national kickboxing champion. The Boec.bg team reached out to Eduard to learn more about his preparation and expectations for the upcoming bout.
Aleksanyan shared that his path to combat sports was a gradual discovery of his true calling: “I got inspired by movies and by my brother, who was training professionally. I started with kickboxing but also tried boxing, dancing, and Kyokushin karate before returning to kickboxing — that’s where I belong.”
For him, martial arts are a school of character building:
“They taught me patience and perseverance, to stay grounded. I believe that through sports people grow and become better.”
Preparation for SENSHI 29 is in full swing with strict discipline and intensity. Eduard emphasizes his focus on conditioning and strength work:
“I’m training hard, putting a lot of effort into conditioning. I know my opponent keeps a high pace, but I think he lacks power in his punches — I plan to break him mentally and with heavy shots. I don’t intend to wait for the judges’ decision — my goal is to end the fight with a knockout.”
For Aleksanyan, SENSHI is more than just a promotion — it’s the stage where he’s evolved as both a fighter and a person: “SENSHI is something special for me — it’s the place where I grew as a fighter and as an individual. It’s an honor to be part of this organization.”
In his free time, he recharges by spending time with his loved ones: “I love relaxing with my family, watching movies and sports — it helps me unwind and prepare for new battles.”
On December 6, the Palace of Culture and Sports will be filled with anticipation and excitement as Varna, Bulgaria welcomes its own local hero “Mr. Action”, ready to give his all for victory in front of his home crowd. Tickets for the spectacular fight show are available via Eventim.bg.
