David Atsman captures first SENSHI win

Belarus’ David Atsman will surely remember his SENSHI debut. The Belarusian fighter defeated Ukraine’s Danylo Voievodkin with decision after an additional round was ruled on by the judges.

Atsman captured the European SENSHI title in the +90 kg category in Kamchia.

The bout started with Atsman pressing forward and looking for the big shots, while Voievodkin was fighting on the back foot and always ready to counterattack. One minute into the fight Atsman landed a low kick followed by a right hand that shook up his opponent.

Atsman’s attacking approach was soon gonna get him tired, but the same could be said about the Ukrainian, who was in counterattack mode nearly all the time. Voievodkin started throwing some good one-twos that pushed back his bigger opponent a little bit, but he didn’t commit and there wasn’t much power behind the shots.

After three exhausting rounds, both guys were on the verge of their stamina and the judges needed lil more in order to give the W to someone. In the additional round, the Belarusian landed some nice low kicks that eventually granted him the victory.
