– Francesko, how did your journey in martial arts begin?
It started 13 years ago during a difficult period of my life. Fighting became my way of redemption and gave me the strength to keep moving forward.
– You are known as a very determined fighter. What personal qualities do you believe define a champion?
Perseverance and determination. I believe I have both; otherwise, I wouldn’t have come this far.
– What has been the highlight of your career so far?
Definitely my victory over Bogdan Stoica. I had been following him for years and wanted to fight him for a long time. Winning that match was very special.
– Can you describe a typical training day for you?
I wake up early, start with weightlifting or cardio, then after lunch and some rest, I train technique or sparring in the evening.
– How do you stay motivated when times get tough?
It’s not always easy, but the date of the match keeps me focused. Having that goal makes everything clearer.
– How do you see SENSHI compared to other organizations?
For me, SENSHI is a big event, a big show, and it shows great respect for the fighters. The organization and the fans in Bulgaria are truly exemplary.
– What message do you have for your fans ahead of SENSHI 28 Grand Prix on September 13?
To my opponent in the quarterfinals: see you in the beach arena in Varna. To the fans: your support is indispensable—I promise you’ll see a determined and explosive Francesko.
