KWU SENSHI America International Seminar Brings Martial Arts Legends to Mogi das Cruzes

On November 17th, the city of Mogi das Cruzes in São Paulo hosted a historic event for martial arts enthusiasts: the KWU SENSHI America International Seminar. The event brought together renowned figures in karate, MMA, and kickboxing, offering participants a unique opportunity to learn and be inspired.

The seminar was led by four martial arts legends: Shihan Francisco Filho, Shihan Glaube Feitosa, Sensei Ewerton Teixeira, and Sensei Andrews Nakahara. With a diverse program focused on technical and philosophical development, the event attracted practitioners from across Brazil and Latin America.

Shihan Francisco Filho opened the seminar with a dynamic warm-up session and basic karate training, emphasizing the importance of strong fundamentals for a practitioner’s growth. Next, Sensei Ewerton Teixeira introduced participants to basic MMA techniques, offering valuable insights into transitioning between styles. Building on this foundation, Sensei Andrews Nakahara conducted a session on intermediate MMA techniques, exploring advanced combinations and strategies that captivated the attendees.

In the striking segment, Shihan Glaube Feitosa, a kickboxing legend, shared his expertise in the sport’s specific techniques, focusing on effective strikes and proper posture. To conclude the seminar on a high note, Shihan Francisco returned to the tatami to teach kata, the art of forms in karate, and delivered an inspiring lecture. His words highlighted the value of discipline, persistence, and the philosophy of martial arts as a path to excellence, not just in the dojo but in life.

The event was marked by moments of interaction, learning, and celebration of martial arts culture, reaffirming KWU SENSHI America’s commitment to fostering technical and personal growth in practitioners. Participants left the seminar not only with refined techniques but also with a richer philosophical understanding, thanks to the lessons and experiences shared by the masters.

The KWU SENSHI America International Seminar was a milestone for Mogi das Cruzes and all attendees, solidifying the region as an important hub for the development of martial arts in Brazil.
