In one of the most hotly contested bouts of the SENSHI 29 fight gala, held on December 6, Atanas Bozhilov recorded his impressive 24th victory in the prestigious series.
The success came after a well-thought-out and controlled fight, in which the Bulgarian fighter demonstrated experience, composure, and excellent preparation.
“I was prepared for the match. I watched quite a lot of his fights. I simply wanted to see how the first round would start. After about one minute of the opening round, I had already found my rhythm and style, and I think I had no problems until the end,” Bozhilov shared in an interview for the program Bulgaria Morning.
The fighter describes the past 12 months as extremely successful. The workload throughout 2025 was significant, but most important for him is that the year passed without injuries—a decisive factor at this stage of his career.
According to Bozhilov himself, his long-standing consistency and stable form are the result of perseverance and strict discipline, with the outcomes clearly visible in the ring.
“A lot of consistency. I am on a strict regime all year round—many training sessions and a disciplined diet. I try not to lose my form, because at this age, if I allow myself even one or two months without training and disrupt my nutrition plan, it becomes very difficult. And the most important thing is that there are no injuries. Because if an injury occurs at this age, it is very hard to get back into the game,” Bozhilov said on Bulgaria ON AIR.
Bozhilov also shared with viewers what lies ahead for him professionally in the coming year. A video of the full interview with Atanas Bozhilov can be viewed on the website of Bulgaria ON AIR television.
