The World Cup Varna 2026 in Kyokushin Karate took place on July 7 near Varna, Bulgaria, as part of the anniversary 20th International Martial Arts Summer Camp. Following nearly 10 hours of intense competition and with strong participation from young karatekas from around the world, the winners of one of the most prestigious international Kyokushin tournaments have now been determined.
In the overall team standings, Kazakhstan claimed first place with a total of 27 medals (11 gold, 6 silver, and 10 bronze). Poland finished second with 9 medals (3 gold, 3 silver, and 3 bronze), whileBulgaria secured third place with a total of 13 medals (1 gold, 3 silver, and 9 bronze).
For another consecutive year, the World Cup Varna confirmed its status as one of the most prestigious international sporting events. The tournament brought together 436 competitors from 25 countries, aged between 14 and 21, and was among the highlights of the 20th International Martial Arts Summer Camp, which is currently taking place near Varna and will continue through the end of the week.
This year’s summer camp has attracted more than 1,600 martial artists from 49 countries, training under the guidance of some of the biggest legends in martial arts: Shihan Akira Masuda, Shihan Semmy Schilt, Ernesto Hoost, Albert Kraus, Andy Souwer, Shihan Francisco Filho, Shihan Sam Greco, Ray Sefo, Shihan Ryu Narushima, Shihan Nicholas Pettas, Shihan Glaube Feitosa, Sensei Ewerton Teixeira, Sensei Tariel Nikoleishvili, Sensei Andrews Nakahara, Sensei Jan Soukup, Sensei Zahari Damyanov, Sensei Petar Martinov, Sensei Yusuke Fujii, and many others.
The international camp program continues with two more exciting sporting events. On July 9, the third edition of the KWU SENSHI World Cup for Amateurs 2026 will begin, featuring 48 fighters from 22 countries competing in three elimination rounds. Then, on Saturday, July 11, starting at 7:30 PM EET /12:30 PM EST/, the professional fight gala SENSHI 32 Grand Prix will take place at the spectacular beach arena next to More Restaurant in the St. St. Constantine and Helena resort, Varna, Bulgaria.
