Tokyo hosts Kyokushin Legends Kumite Technical Seminar following international tournament

On April 30, 2026, the city of Tokyo, Japan, hosted the Kyokushin Legends Kumite Technical Seminar, a special event held the day after the KWU SENSHI JAPAN 1st International Tournament. The seminar brought together renowned names from the international Kyokushin community for an evening dedicated to technical exchange, learning, and direct contact with some of the most respected figures in the martial arts world.

The event took place at the Tokyo YMCA College of Social Sports and Childcare, located in Koto-ku, Tokyo, and was organized as a unique opportunity for athletes, members, and karate enthusiasts to deepen their understanding of kumite techniques under the guidance of high-level instructors.

Among the announced seminar instructors were Shihan Glaube Feitosa, from Brazil, 5th dan and KWU SENSHI South America Vice Representative, as well as Sensei Ewerton Teixeira, Sensei Tariel Nikolashvili, and Sensei Zahari Damyanov, all bringing their experience and technical knowledge to the participants.

The event also featured an outstanding expected lineup of Kyokushin legends and prominent figures, including Shihan Francisco Filho, Sensei Peter Martinov, Sensei Jan Soukup, Sensei Yusuke Fujii, Shihan Ryu Narushima, and Shihan Akira Masuda, among others, reinforcing the exceptional level and prestige of the seminar.

The training session was scheduled from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with technical practice concluding at 7:45 p.m., followed by a commemorative photo session. Participation was limited to 50 people, with registration handled on a first-come, first-served basis.

In addition to the technical experience itself, participants also received special benefits, including the opportunity to take a commemorative photo with the Kyokushin legends and receive a signed autograph board from the guest instructors.

The Kyokushin Legends Kumite Technical Seminar represented another important moment in the expanding international presence of KWU SENSHI in Japan, extending the impact of the tournament beyond competition and creating a valuable space for technical development, inspiration, and direct interaction between practitioners and some of the most iconic names in Kyokushin.

By combining world-class instructors, strong participation interest, and the atmosphere created around the international tournament, the seminar added even more significance to KWU SENSHI’s activities in Tokyo and reinforced the organization’s commitment to high-level martial education and global community building.
