On 10 January 2026, the General Assembly of the Bulgarian Karate Kyokushin Federation (BKKF) was held, during which the sports calendar for the upcoming competitive period was approved. As part of the event, the traditional ceremony for awarding the titles “Master of Sport” and “Candidate for Master of Sport” also took place.
The awarding of master ranks is the highest form of recognition within the Bulgarian Karate Kyokushin Federation (BKKF). The honored athletes are not only holders of prestigious titles, but also an inspiration for younger generations who are just beginning their journey in Kyokushin karate. The Federation expressed its gratitude to them for their dedication, consistency, and efforts throughout the year.

The title “Honored Coach” was awarded to Petko Chirpanliev – SC “Okami Dojo”, Asenovgrad, for his long-standing contribution, professionalism, and dedication to the development of Kyokushin karate in Bulgaria.
The General Assembly reaffirmed the direction of development of the BKKF and emphasized the importance of achievements at both national and international levels.
