The 58th Kyokushin Summercamp will take place from 10 to 13 July 2026 at the National Sports Centre Papendal in Arnhem, the Netherlands. NKKO organizes the traditional international camp under the motto “Full in Contact – Strong in Life.” Every year, the event brings together karatekas from across Europe and beyond.
The history of the camp dates back to 1968. At that time, Sosai Masutatsu Oyama assigned Shihan Loek Hollander to develop Kyokushin in Europe. Soon after, organizers held the first summer camp in Ermelo with Sosai Oyama himself attending the event.
Since then, Papendal has become one of the most respected Kyokushin camps in the world. Moreover, generations of karate practitioners have trained there in the true spirit of Osu. Today, the camp continues to attract participants from many countries.
This year, athletes will once again train at the National Sports Centre Papendal. The complex offers modern training halls, professional sports facilities, and sauna areas. In addition, participants will stay in a high-level sports environment used by elite athletes.
Training and Grading Opportunities
The International Summer Camp offers intensive Kyokushin training sessions focused on technique, conditioning, discipline, and fighting spirit. At the same time, karatekas can prepare for their next grading exams under KWF regulations.
Participants who want to take Dan examinations must bring the required documents. These include authorization from their instructor, certificates, a Kyokushin passport, a KWF lifetime membership card, and passport photographs.
The grading fees are:
- 10th–3rd Kyu: €15
- 2nd Kyu: €30
- 1st Kyu: €40
- 1st Dan KWF registration fee: €50
Additional certificate and belt fees apply depending on the Dan level.
Accommodation and Reservations
Accommodation packages include all meals from Friday dinner until Monday breakfast. Furthermore, hotel rooms include WiFi, television, bathroom facilities, and safety deposit options.

- Twin Room: €330 per person
- Single Room: €450 per person
Check-in starts on Friday, 10 July, between 10:30 and 13:00. Afterwards, the first training session begins at 14:00. Participants must check out on Monday, 13 July, before 10:00.
For nearly six decades, the Kyokushin Summercamp has united karatekas through hard training, discipline, and the philosophy of Kyokushin Karate.
