2nd Thanos Dojo Camp Successfully Held in Guarulhos

On April 18, the city of Guarulhos, São Paulo, Brazil, successfully hosted the 2nd Thanos Dojo Camp, an important gathering focused on the technical, physical, and disciplinary development of Kyokushin Karate practitioners. The event brought together 90 athletes from various organizations, confirming itself as another major initiative for integration, learning, and strengthening the KWU SENSHI community in Brazil.

With a full-day program, the camp delivered an intense and well-structured training experience, combining physical preparation, technical fundamentals, combat practice, and moments of discipline and reflection within the spirit of Kyokushin. The event fully achieved its purpose, providing participants with a meaningful and valuable experience for their continued development in the discipline.

Throughout the day, athletes took part in activities focused on warm-up, stretching, physical conditioning, fighting techniques, kihon, and kumite, in a format designed to encourage both technical improvement and the exchange of experience among practitioners of different ages and levels. The structure of the camp also allowed participants to train through different teaching approaches, enriching the overall learning experience.

The combat portion was one of the highlights of the event, with kumite sessions organized by age group and conducted in a technical format that emphasized respect, control, and athlete development. In addition to the physical and technical work, the camp also included traditional moments of relaxation, breathing, seiza, mokuso, Dojokun, certificate presentation, and an official group photo, bringing the program to a complete close in line with the values of Kyokushin.

The success of the 2nd Thanos Dojo Camp reinforces the importance of events like this for strengthening Kyokushin Karate in Brazil. More than just a day of training, the gathering represented an opportunity for collective growth, connection among practitioners, and the affirmation of core values such as discipline, respect, camaraderie, and the spirit of self-improvement.
